Unlike the typical teenage girl, Sammy could really care less about other's problems, she finds that people with sad stories are usually looking for attention or have brought their problems upon themselves. She doesn't obsess over what you are thinking about or feeling towards her and doesn't encourage anyone to seek her for advice or counseling. She figures if you have something important to tell her you might as well stop beating around the bush and come out and say it. She feels that she has her own problems to deal with and has little patience for those who need help to get through rough patches and doesn't believe in going out of her way to lend a hand when it only takes time away from her own priorities. The more she helps the more she hammers you about how harsh the real world actually is. She also doesn't like the thought of having to rely on others much and rarely needs help to feel better about herself. She figures that she doesn't have time to sit around and mope but would rather be productive and look towards the future.

Although quite the rational kid with a good mind full of ethics, she is rather impulsive in her actions, not taking time to complete a task and tends to take the easiest and quickest route over the long and probably more accurate way of doing things. And of course, like any teenager she gives in to her cravings rather than fighting her emotions or what she wants, she often does what comes naturally, and as a result, she occasionally overdoes things and sometimes ends up embarrassing herself.

However, like a child, she's easily satisfied and is usually in a rather contagious good mood if you leave her alone and don't get on her nerves. She is constantly coming up with new ideas and is often found indulging herself in art, (music), beauty, and design.

⇝History:

Born to businesspeople parents in Aldholt, Samantha obtained a childhood different from other children who lived closer to the outskirts of Shangri-La. With both their parents working, and her sister out of the house most of the time, Sammy was left to explore and experience things on her own as long as she followed the rules in the house which included rules such as being home before a certain curfew or not being involved in anything remotely illegal Of course, she'd always follow the rules to the least extent, often exploring the alleys with the other children and picking up strange street lingo or slang around the neighborhood. She picked up masculine habits after observing certain low-lives in the alleys of Maguillage and started referring to her sister as; "Aneki". Naturally, her sister wasn't too keen on this and often scolds her.

Her older sister Gail was the best example of Sammy's display of Unconditional love aside from her parents. Although the two rarely saw eachother, they made sure to set aside time to bond.

Life was pretty swell in Sammy's eyes, she had a place to sleep, she had food to eat, she had friends- never bullied and a good amount of freedom as a kid. She didn't really experience any hardships and if she did, she figured it was about time something bad had happened to her for having such an easy going life-style; Sleep, eat, play, study, and repeat. News of Aragami attacks were on the back burner of this teen's life. She was in Aldholt, the center of an underground mega-metropolis. Shangri-La. There was no way she'd be exposed to them first hand.

_{Such was the case when, three years ago, while on the monorail for a day at the lake, the train was sent flying off its tracks by a mysterious giant explosion that caused a large tremor. The last thing she remembered was having her aneki throw herself over her as the train toppled off track and was sent hurtling towards god knows where. She had her eyes shut tight, huddling near the security of her older sister for the majority of the time, afraid to open her eyes to see the outcome of the event that had just taken place and eventually blacked out with the soft hum of distant explosions interrupted by ear piercing screeches continued to ring through her ears.

When she came to, she was lying in a hospital bed, Alone. At first she panicked, as anyone would, but then regained composure when she stopped to think about what had happened, the small scratches and bruises on her arms were enough to reassure her that the wreck really happened. She recovered fairly easy, and was allowed to do as she pleased in her assigned hospital room, since the doctors were not able to get into contact with their parents. For the next weeks or so, Samantha lounged in the hospital and conversed with the nurses and other patients in the same room as her, everything was pretty busy and she didn't understand what was going on, all she knew was that her older sister was under some intensive recovery care of some sort. After time they performed tests on both of the siblings.}

Once exposed to the new experience- Samantha saw the world under a new light. Being at the center was no reason to live a carefree lifestyle. In fact- life was so damn hard and precious to keep.

This was the past though, and since then she had grown into more of a cynic. Once her sister was married off and had a family of her own and decided to move to Roseelf to live a more peaceful life to raise their children Sammy was left the choice of moving in with them also or staying in Aldholt.

Unwilling to make changes since she wasn't quite fond of her sister's husband, Sammy opted to stay in Adohlt and rented an apartment there. From there- she pursued Journalism and was persistent in capturing a scoop that would rock the world from under the Earth's crust. After months and months of field research- gathering information in Maguillage and Roseelf, Samantha's curiousity became insatisfiable. She needed something more than mere assumptions and what ifs of Old Eden. It was around here that Sammy encountered an over enthusiastic 'gang'-leader named Chihaya whom she begrudgingly avoided in order to prevent her from hindering her progress.

Chihaya- you see, was the daughter of the police force. And Nathair law and regulations hold a strict guideline over what is allowed and what is not allowed to be published and known to the public about Old Eden. Samantha became more cautious about her research after that.

At the climax of her research, Sammy began tailing God Eater dispatching squads and taking notes on times of entry and departure. She grew meticulous and accurate in her timing over time until finally she attempted to sneak out. Of course, getting caught in the process before she made any real progress.

She was going to be taken back to the Nathair headquarters for further interrogations when an Aragami jarred open the safety gate that prevented air contamination in the level that they were staying in. God eaters in charge of the level were rushed to fend it off quickly and repair the gate. It was then that Sammy caught glimpse of what made that terrible screeching years ago and also the wasteland that laid outside of the protectorate of the great doors.

After her interrogation, Samantha was brought to a separate room where she was asked to perform several physical tests that she did not understand why they needed her to do. Perhaps it was to reassure she didn't catch anything bad while up there?

After the tests, she was brought further into the Nathair headquarters and was made to test her compatibility for the God Arc-an excruciatingly painful process in which she was tested positive for concluding the apitude test. Putting two and two together, she knew she was in deep shit. The moment she was captured, they decided to bring her in as as a new recruit. She was then made to take several medical check-ups and basic combat training. At first she was in great turmoil. She didn't want to fight. She didn't want to die. But when it came down to it, it wasn't their problem that she didn't want to. It was hers.

Thus begins her journey as a new edition to the new recruitee God Eaters of Nathair.
